TRENDS REPORT: BOOK PRINT SPRING SUMMER 2011

SMILEY INSPIRATIONS TRENDS BOOK, S/S 2011
Published by the ModAmont fair, this visual tool interprets the Spring-Summer 2011 trends in terms of accessories and textures. In this book, the 2L.SA style bureau exclusively develops eight style trends for the fair's exhibitors.
Unfamiliar textures and graphic directions, styles put to unexpected uses and eco-design forecast the creative tendencies of the Spring-Summer 2011 season.
This deck of 70 cards is divided into three sections:
- A first section which includes 8 exclusive style themes. Chosen from a blend of men's and women's ready-to-wear, casual and sportswear, this sampling of styles opens with new combinations of textures and designs.
- A second section in the form of a 24-colour shade chart exhibits the leading tonalities of the season
Enchanting surrealism or chromatic blurring, design with a useful soul, or ephemeral sand sculptures, optical aberrations or the grace of invisibility, chiffon paper or dematerialisation, kawai adorable mischief or the new luxury salvage, this book goes through the looking glass of a season that is inspired or quite simply smiley.
We can’t fail to notice the flip flop effect of the lenticular cover, designed by SEAB, one of ModAmont’s exhibitors.
